Why do we need you?

Our client is engaged in mature-stage development of a CAN/J1939-based product suite for use in multiple, non-automotive industries, such as vessels and mobile industrial equipment. The combined market for this application of CAN-based technology dwarfs the automotive market.

The development team has already applied for three innovative patents that will revolutionize the electrical distribution field and make digital power control and management an immediate reality.

Who are we looking for?

· A degreed engineer with outstanding C and C++ talent, and expertise in compilers and debuggers. Must be proficient in troubleshooting and debugging to the processor level. Must be proficient in software rev. control methodologies, experience in Source Safe a plus
· Experience in design and development of software modules for embedded micro-controller applications
· Knowledge of 9S12 or related processors a plus
· Knowledge of UML methodologies expected, experience in LIN protocols a plus
· Must have experience in A/D measurement techniques


What will you be doing?

· Design, and develop, software modules for embedded micro-controller applications for next generation power instrumentation panels, and systems. 
· Design and develop software algorithms for monitoring and controlling power and instrumentation
· Test and validate software modules at the sub-system and system level using appropriate test tools.
· Generate Software Requirements Specification, Software Design Description, Test Specification and Test Protocol for software tasks assigned.
· Collaborate with other engineers (electrical, mechanical, software, system) to meet project goals.
· May design and develop test programs and GUI test tools for testing and exercising various sub-systems.
